Car Loading Procedure
  • You should be notified by your local railroad as to when your car is being spotted for loading. If you are not provided with that information please contact our office and we will obtain it for you.

  • Before you begin loading your car please ensure that it is empty and in suitable condition to load. If it is unsuitable for loading please contact us ASAP and we will make the arrangements, on your behalf, to reject this car and re-order a new one for future load.

  • It is important that you fill out your car within loading capacity. Each car has a minimum and maximum load identified on it. Overloading a car may result with railway requiring a partial unload. This will cause additional charges for unloading fees as well as demurrage charges from the railway. Any questions please feel free to call us.

  • Immediately after your car is loaded, you must complete a bill of lading from our forms page on this website, and fax it to our office at 1-306-778-7675. This step is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT since this is the only way the railway knows that your car has been loaded.

Please note that failure to submit a bill of lading on time or incorrect information (i.e. proper car no.) will result in fines imposed by the railway.

  • Complete an I-90 tag, which you should have received from the CGC. The I-90 tag must be stapled to the side of the car. If you do not receive the I-90 tag you can use a photocopy of the form, which you can retrieve from our forms page of this website.
